How is a company's value calculated in Spain?
In Spain a company's value is calculated by applying a multiple to EBITDA, adjusted for sector, size and financial profile: in the mid-market it ranges from 5.2x to 6.8x EBITDA depending on the sector. Because the exact multiple depends on your subsector and your size, the reliable way to know your range is to calculate it with your own figures —the calculator gives you an indicative estimate for free in under a minute—; a professional valuation, reviewing financial statements, debt, cash and competitive position, then refines the defensible figure.

What data do I need to value my company?
Annual revenue, EBITDA for the last closed fiscal year, sector, number of employees and percentage of recurring revenue. With those five data points you obtain an indicative range.
What is the difference between a calculator and a professional valuation?
The calculator applies an average sector multiple and gives an immediate reference. A professional valuation reviews financial statements, working capital, net debt, non-operating assets and competitive position, and produces a range that is defensible before a buyer.
Which factors raise or lower value beyond the numbers?
Revenue recurrence, founder dependence, customer concentration, competitive differentiation and earnings trend. Two companies with the same EBITDA can be worth very different amounts depending on these factors.

A defensible valuation reviews financial statements, competitive position, debt, cash, non-operating assets, founder dependence, customers, contracts, risks and real comparables.
The calculator provides a first reference to decide whether a deeper conversation makes sense.
Do I have to sign up to use it?
No. There's no account or password. We only ask for your name, email and phone at the end to send you your valuation breakdown and help you if you need it.
Will you call me to sell me something?
No pushy sales. We keep your request confidential and only get in touch if you ask us to or to send you your report. You can use the calculator with no commitment.
Is the valuation calculator free?
Yes. The calculator provides a free indicative estimate to get a first reference before starting a sale, acquisition or professional valuation.
What data do I need to get an estimate?
You need basic data from the last complete fiscal year, including annual revenue, EBITDA, business sector and number of employees.
Which valuation methods does Capittal use?
The estimate combines sector EBITDA multiples with adjustments for size and financial profile. A professional valuation adds real comparables, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and a qualitative business review.
Does the calculator replace a professional valuation?
No. The calculator provides a first indicative reference, whereas a professional valuation reviews financial statements, debt, assets, contracts, risks and real comparables to produce a report that is defensible before third parties.
How long does a professional valuation take?
A professional valuation usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the quality of the documentation and the level of detail the report requires.
Is my data confidential?
Yes. The information is used exclusively to prepare the estimate and is only reviewed by Capittal's team, without sharing it with third parties unless expressly authorised.
Which sectors does the calculator cover?
The tool covers common Spanish mid-market sectors such as professional services, technology, industrials, healthcare, construction, food, logistics, energy and retail.
What factors influence a company's value beyond the numbers?
Value also depends on qualitative factors such as revenue recurrence, founder dependence, team stability, competitive position and existing contracts.
How much is a company worth with EUR 5M revenue and EUR 1M EBITDA?
With an average multiple of 5.5x, a company with EUR 1M EBITDA would have an indicative value of around EUR 5.5M enterprise value, before adjusting for debt, cash and qualitative factors.
Does the valuation include the company's debt?
The multiple is applied to EBITDA and produces the enterprise value (business value). To reach the equity value (what the shareholder receives), net debt is subtracted and working capital is adjusted.
